Matthew Van Fleet, Esq.

Matthew Van Fleet has 20 years of business and real estate litigation and transactional experience.

Prior to joining LawPLA, Mr. Van Fleet was a Senior Trial Attorney at MLG, Attorneys at Law.  There Mr. Van Fleet was the head of business litigation for the firm, representing clients in disputes involving corporate and governmental entities.  Before joining MLG, Mr. Van Fleet served as General Counsel for a mid sized mortgage bank, ACRA Lending (formerly known as Citadel Servicing Corporation).  In his role as General Counsel, Mr. Van Fleet provided legal guidance to the executive staff on all matters impacting the company as well as managed all of the company’s litigated matters.

Mr. Van Fleet also has “big firm” knowledge, having worked for multiple major national firms where he represented many major financial institutions.  He also ran a successful solo practice for approximately 5 years.  From his solo practice he gained valuable hands-on experience, both in law and in business.

Mr. Van Fleet is a graduate of Santa Clara School of Law, where he served as Development Editor of the prestigious Computer and High Technology Law Journal.  Mr. Van Fleet received his Bachelor of Arts in Business/Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara.  He is licensed to practice law in California, Montana and Texas and is also a licensed California Real Estate Broker.

Mr. Van Fleet enjoys spending time with family and friends, cinema, and all things outdoors.
