Kaleigh McManus, Esq.

Kaleigh McManus is a skilled employment attorney helping businesses navigate
complex workplace challenges and employment disputes. Licensed in California,
Connecticut, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, she represents employers of all sizes and
industries, providing both strategic litigation defense and day-to-day employment law
counseling.

Kaleigh is an experienced litigator with a track record of achieving dismissals and
summary judgment in high-stakes employment litigation. Her litigation experience
encompasses all aspects of employment disputes, providing comprehensive defense
strategies that protect businesses, while controlling costs. She has successfully
represented companies ranging from startups to multinational corporations in
discrimination claims, wage and hour disputes and traditional labor matters. Her
litigation experience spans state and federal courts and administrative agencies.
Kaleigh has significant experience representing employers in union organizing
campaigns, grievance arbitrations, and defending employers against unfair labor
practice charges before the National Labor Relations Board.


Kaleigh provides strategic guidance to help businesses operate with confidence.
Kaleigh regularly advises employees on all aspects of workforce management including
performance, terminations, wage and hour compliance, employee classification,
reductions in force and managing employee leaves. Kaleigh’s experience extends
globally, and she has significant experience guiding employers through employment-
related risks in M&A transactions, reductions in force, and large-scale compliance
audits. She has managed several multi-jurisdictional projects impacting employees in
60+ countries simultaneously. Her clients benefit from her collaborative work with local
counsel to implement practical, cost-effective, business-aligned solutions across
jurisdictions.


Prior to joining LawPLA, Kaleigh was an Associate Attorney at Littler Mendelson and
member of the firm’s international employment practice group. She previously practiced
at Fisher Phillips, focusing on cross-border employment matters.

Kaleigh earned her Juris Doctor from DePaul University College of Law in 2019, along
with a Certificate in International and Comparative Law. During law school, she gained
hands on experience in DePaul’s International Human Rights Clinic, where she
conducted legal research and field work in Chile and Kenya, focusing on sexual and
gender-based violence, transitional justice, and access to remedies for survivors.
Kaleigh spent her 2L summer interning at the Survivor Justice Center in Los Angeles.

She graduated cum laude from Worcester State University in 2014 with a Bachelor of
Science in Urban Studies and Planning, with a specialization in Social Work and Social
Policy. She also holds a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from the University of
Wisconsin.
