Lyris is a Legal Assistant at LawPLA. In her capacity, she supports the development of the firm through overseeing the daily operations of the office, preparing and drafting legal documents, handling legal research, and working closely with existing and prospective clients.
Prior to joining the LawPLA team, Lyris worked at Sidley Austin LLP’s Global Finance/Securitization practice group in San Francisco, California, where she primarily handled the preparation for and closing of countless public and private asset-backed securitization transactions.
Lyris graduated from the University of California, Berkeley as a Legal Studies major and a Public Policy minor. During her undergraduate years, she was heavily involved in Berkeley’s Student Legal Clinic and was an active member of various Pilipino American organizations that focused on the recruitment and retention of Pilipino American and other Asian American and Pacific Islander students at Berkeley. During her undergraduate studies, Lyris also participated in the Cal In the Capital program, where she had the rewarding opportunity to intern for both the Organization of Chinese Americans-Asian Pacific American Advocates and the National Coalition for Asian Pacific American Community Development in Washington, D.C.
A thinker and an advocate, Lyris joined LawPLA due to its personalized, honest, and attentive approach to every legal issue — embracing the challenge of each case with the goal of empowering and improving the lives of its clients.
